New site design

As you can tell, we have a new design. You might ask: why such a simple (or plain design)? Well, we’re going back to the basics. A minimalistic design with elegance, and a little of abstract.

For now, only the news section will be up.

Pearl Harbor Premiere

The world premiere will be held at an outdoor theater on Pearl Harbor’s Ford Island on May 21. Rear Adm. John Costas, acting Pacific Fleet deputy commander, says the Navy wants to invite former president George Bush to the premiere. Bush was a naval aviator who was shot down by the Japanese in WWII and rescued by a U.S. submarine. The film was shot at Pearl Harbor, Schofield Barracks, and other Oahu military installations with assistance from the Pentagon. Dept. of Defense approval is needed for the premiere to be held on Ford Island. (Variety)

Super Bowl

According to USA TODAY, somewhere right around the SUPER BOWL will be a big PEARL HARBOR trailer… which won’t be playing during the game per se… but either during Half Time or in the Post-Game section!

Pearl Harbor poster giveaway winner

The correct answer for the Pearl Harbor poster giveaway was:

12 years old. Michael was 12 when he first met his future DP John Schwartzman. The answer was found in a Real Audio file that contained an interview with Schwartzman. You can find it under “Articles/Audio interviews/”Reflections on Michael Bay.” You can click HERE to hear the answer.
